Our Story

Agents of Rescue Ministries, formerly known as Faith Outreach Church, has been in operation since 2015. The first meeting, with three families and the Pastor, was a bible study on a Thursday evening in February in one of the founding members' homes. They met every week after that between two homes.

The church was built on a foundation of prayer and fasting, love, and learning about the true and infallible word of GOD. Along with their bible studies, they added a “Day of Bethesda” where members spent a few hours in deep prayer, trusting and believing GOD to move on their behalf. They experienced many miracles from those prayers.

In 2016, the ministry moved to a building where services were held every Sunday for the next 3 years. In 2018, the church's name was changed from "Faith Outreach Church" to the “Agents of Rescue Ministries”, which is the name they operate under currently. Unfortunately, in 2020, due to the pandemic, they had to move their services online but the blessing in that was the birth of  Tuesdays Truth Revealed and Thursdays Q & A. As well, Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings became time for corporate prayer using the Cisco Webex platform.

In June 2016, they started their Street Mission which had them traveling downtown every 3rd Saturday of the month. It began in the home of another founder, making sandwiches for the homeless and less fortunate. In March 2020, they were forced into lockdown and they were unable to fulfill their mission plans. Fortunately, in July of that same year, they obtained the go-ahead from the city as front-line workers to continue their monthly work. They decided at that point that they would change their menu from sandwiches and begin to serve hot meals as there was a greater need for a more sustainable meal.

Now the Chef /Co-founder prepares a Jerk BBQ Chicken on a bed of Rice, with Broccoli, Carrots, and Potato Salad. The Baker/Co-founder makes between 125 to 180 loaves of banana bread and they assemble bags containing snack bars, fruits, drinks, utensils, masks, and latex gloves. They also do their best to continually provide toiletries and new and gently used clothing and blankets to those in need.

In 2021 and 2022 they were blessed with a generous contribution of 100 meals each from Fred's Kitchen in Mississauga. They are very fortunate to have many Destiny Helpers who have caught the vision and raised, donated money and many items over the years.

"We are very blessed to have a Pastor who has a strong conviction for the things of God, a humble soul and the heart of a giver." (statement from members)

The vision for the “Agents of Rescue Ministries” continues to evolve as they grow deeper in the things of GOD and the word of GOD.
